The unique AyrKing sifter brush is the heart of the Breader Blender Sifter. The brush rotates as breading mixture hits it, acting as an auger that ejects dough balls into a waste pan, while sifting and mixing the breading into the lug below for re-use. AyrKing offers sifter brush options based on batter type, breading process and machine size. For best operation, the sifter brush should be replaced annually.
Sifter brush types
AyrKing offers three sifter brush types:
- White: firmer bristles; best for when thick batters are used before breading
- Black: soft, feather-like bristles; best for when plain water or no liquid batter is used
- Red: same bristle design as white brush, but in a red color; preferred by the European market for food safety color-coding
Sifter brush lengths
AyrKing also offers various sifter brush length options, based on the BBS unit you have. Compact units use 20” brushes; standard units use 24” brushes.
Screen hole size options
The sifter brush isn’t the only BBS component that should be chosen based on breading type. Within the BBS, there is a screen with small holes between the sifter brush and the reclaimed breading pan. The standard hole size is 1.5mm for fine flour, but there are options available for up to 10mm for breading mixtures with larger, coarser flakes. Contact AyrKing with questions.
