In this exclusive Q&A series, operators gain behind-the-scenes insight into our unique distributor partnerships.
Henny Penny approaches the market differently than most equipment manufacturers. Through their network of expert distributors, they provide hands-on support before, during, and after the sale and installation. Their distributors work daily to solve customer challenges, ensuring quality food and saving costs. That’s why they like to shine a spotlight their distributors.
HP Sales Northeast has partnered with Henny Penny for nearly 40 years. They’ve grown from one state to serving 10 across New England, the NY metro area, Eastern PA, NJ, and Northern DE. With offices in NJ and MA, they offer demo kitchens, parts, service fleets, and ample warehouse space. We spoke with Corey Meyers to learn more.

Tell me about any success stories related to your business.
One of our standout success stories is our long-standing relationships with major retail supermarket chains in the region. We’re a key partner in their hot foods departments, providing everything from fryers and breading to combi ovens and merchandisers. We’ve consistently proven ourselves as the go-to partner for supermarkets, thanks to our strong customer service and deep understanding of their unique needs.
Expanding into the New England market has also been a big achievement. With our new office in Hopkinton, MA, we’ve been able to bring our top-notch service and support to even more customers.
What is unique about your territory?
Our territory is diverse, spanning bustling urban centers as well as suburban and rural areas. This variety gives us the opportunity to work with a wide range of foodservice operations, including quick-service restaurants, retail supermarkets, fine dining establishments, and institutional kitchens.
The Northeastern U.S. has a high demand for quality, efficient equipment, and our boutique approach lets us provide personalized service to meet those needs. With offices in both New Jersey and Massachusetts, we’re able to deliver quick, hands-on support to a broad customer base.

Can you tell us more about your demo kitchens and how they benefit your customers?
Our demo kitchens in New Jersey and Massachusetts give customers a chance to test out equipment in real-world scenarios. We invite them to cook their own menu items and see how the equipment performs, ensuring they make informed decisions.
It’s a hands-on experience where they can ask questions, make adjustments, and see how the equipment can improve both efficiency and food quality.
How has HP Sales Northeast adapted to industry changes over the years?
The foodservice industry has evolved, and we’ve evolved with it. We stay ahead by constantly updating our products to meet evolving demands, from energy-efficient equipment to grab-and-go solutions. Our commitment to training ensures we stay informed about new technologies. This allows us to guide clients through industry changes, helping them adapt and succeed.
What are your plans for future growth and expansion?
We’re focused on growing our presence in the foodservice industry by expanding into institutional and educational foodservice programs while continuing to build our dealer network and retail partnerships. Our new office in Hopkinton, MA, is a big step in serving the New England market more effectively and expanding our reach.
We’re also heavily investing in our service support, which includes hiring more certified technicians, expanding our parts warehouses, and enhancing our online resources to provide even better support to our customers.
Overall, we want to continue be the partner that our customers can’t live without.
